I provide neurodivergent affirming ADHD assessments. That means, I do not believe in relying solely on the DSM criteria as that was created by and for cis-white men. I use various assessment tools and rely heavily on your experiences in the world to help you determine if an ADHD diagnosis is the right fit. Self-diagnosis is valid, but if you’re looking for something more concrete, let’s do it! Here’s what you need to know…

• I provide ADHD assessments for folks 18+ (parents of folks 15+ may schedule a discovery call to see if I’m the right fit).

• We start with a 30-minute discovery call ($45) to determine what is your motivation for assessment and what are you hoping to get out of it. I will review the process, and we’ll decide if we are a good fit!

• I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Diagnostic Privilege. This means I am approved to diagnose in the state of New York. I am also fully licensed in the state of Oregon. Folks with master’s degrees can do psychological testing. However, there are some cases where it must be completed by someone with a Doctorate. We can discuss that more during the discovery call.

• The assessment process takes three 60 to 90-minute appointments followed by a 30-minute processing session. The assessment appointments vary in time so that we do not feel rushed but also so that we can end at 60-minutes if we get through what we need to. The processing session is where I will review the results and recommendations.

• The assessments can be provided in person or via telehealth.

• The assessment consists of one at home questionnaire and one in depth in person/telehealth clinical interview completed over 3 sessions. Collecting collateral or additional information from a loved one or someone who knows you well is helpful, but not necessary.

Pricing

My goal is to make ADHD assessments more accessible while also ensuring I am paid a fee that makes this work sustainable. So, I use the green bottle method which is a tier-based pricing system. Please see the graphic below to determine your payment tier. I do not bill insurance for this service, so fees are out of pocket.

Tier 3 - $1,400 ($700 due upon scheduling your first assessment appointment and $700 when scheduling assessment appointment #3). This is for folks that comfortably meet their basic needs.

Tier 2 - $950 ($475 due upon scheduling your first assessment appointment and $475 when scheduling assessment appointment #3). This is for folks who may stress about meeting their basic needs but still meet them generally.

Tier 1 - $500 ($250 due upon scheduling your first assessment appointment and $250 when scheduling assessment appointment #3). This is for folks who regularly stress about meeting basic needs and don’t always achieve them.

Explanation of fees: I understand ADHD assessments can be expensive. The fees cover the costs of my training, my assessment tools, my time in session with you, my time collecting collateral information, my time creating your summary report and time coordinating with any providers that you may need me to share your results with.
